NEW YORK - PAT SPERDUTO, current director of Arena Football Operations for the Tennessee Titans and a former AFL head coach and player, has identified the top AFL collegiate prospects for 2004 that went undrafted in last week's NFL Draft.
"These players possess the unique skill sets to be impact players in the AFL," said Sperduto.
Many of Sperduto's top candidates have experience on both sides of the line of scrimmage, a necessity in the AFL, where six of eight players play both offense and defense.
Although many of these undrafted prospects have since signed with NFL teams as free agents, many will likely be eligible to play in the AFL in 2004. Following is Sperduto's list:
