NEW YORK – The Arena Football League broke its previous all-time regular-season attendance record of 1,217,673 fans set in 2001 this past weekend. Through 14 weeks, the AFL's 2003 season has drawn a total of 1,290,435 fans in 112 games, an average of 11,522 fans per game.

This season's 11,522 average represents a 16-percent attendance increase vs. 2002, which averaged 9,957 fans (14-week season). With two weeks remaining, the AFL has had 15 sellouts in 2003 compared to four during the entire 2002 season.

The expansion Colorado Crush are expecting their eighth sellout in as many games when they host the Arizona Rattlers at Pepsi Center in Denver in the season finale in Week 16. A sellout by the Crush would mark the first full-season sellout since the Orlando Predators accomplished the feat in 1995.
