SPOKANE, WA: For the second straight night, the AquaSox took advantage of a big inning for a come from behind victory. This time by scoring three runs in the fifth inning to erase a 4-2 deficit and record a 5-4 victory over the Spokane Indians in front of 4,530 fans at Avista Stadium.
Mariners top prospect, Noelvi Marte hit a three-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to give Everett a one-run lead. Marte would drive in four of the five AquaSox runs.
Trent Tingelstad added a run-scoring single in the second inning for the AquaSox. Justin Lavey collected two of the teams six hits.
Michael Flynn (1-1), making his fourth start of the season, earned the win, while Isaiah Campbell earned his fifth save.
Spokane pounded out 13 hits in the game but left eight men on base and grounded into two double plays. Braiden Ward, Zac Veen, Grant Lavigne, Julio Carreras and Nic Kent each had multiple hits.
The teams close out the six-game set Sunday. Everett leads the series 3-2
