TRAVERSE CITY -- A hockey game pitting the Traverse City Law Dogs against the ‘Fossils' is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19 at Centre ICE arena at 5 p.m., preceding the North Stars-Texarkana game.

Proceeds from the contest will go to help Pat Erway, a Detective with the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Dept. who suffered a severe head injury while on holiday in North Carolina, and is currently rehabbing in a Grand Rapids hospital.

The Law Dogs' roster features GT Co. Undersheriff Nathan Alger, retired City Police Sgt. Rodger McEvoy, and captain Jake Erway, a Traverse City North Stars forward and Pat's brother. The Fossils are a collection of local businessmen and former teammates of Pat Erways when he was a prep hockey player at Traverse City Central. The Fossils are captained by Trojans hockey coach Chris Givens. For more information or to purchase tickets (min. $10 donation), call (231) 995-5015 or (231) 342-6002.
