Engstrom Named Player of the Week

Connecticut Whale News Release

New York, NY - The National Women's Hockey League (www.nwhl.co) today announced that Connecticut Whale defenseman Molly Engstrom has been named Player of the Week.

Engstrom capitalized on a turnover in the Beauts' zone and beat goaltender Brianne McLaughlin to end the game 2:08 into overtime. The game-winner put the Whale back atop league standings with 24 points.

Engstrom and the Connecticut Whale will face the Boston Pride on the road this Sunday at 3:00pm.
