SPOKANE, Washington - The Empire will officially open their 2016 training camp this week in preparation for their inaugural season as a member of the Indoor Football League.
Monday, February 1: The team will begin set up of player housing facilities in preparation for the first round of player arrivals including quarterbacks and skill positions.
Umpqua Bank will kick of their Empire t-shirt exchange at participating locations in the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene area. The exchange will run Monday, February 1st through Saturday, February 6th. To view a list of participating locations, click here.
Wednesday, February 3: Official arrival day for all players. Single game tickets go on sale via TicketsWest at 10:00 a.m. PT in preparation for the Empire's home opener on Saturday, February 27th versus the Wichita Falls Nighthawks. Tickets can be purchased online at TicketsWest.com, by phone at 1-800-325-SEAT (7328), at the Spokane Arena Box Office, or at any TicketsWest outlet location.
Thursday, February 4: The team will be having a welcome meeting in the early afternoon to go over season expectations, paperwork, the training camp schedule, and a playbook install session. In the evening players will be performing entrance physicals at the Empire's official medical provider, NWOS.
Friday, February 5: In the morning the team will have meetings to go over offensive and defensive install. The team will then have their first padded practice beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Spokane Soccer Center.
Saturday, February 6: Team meetings in the morning at the Empire Front Offices followed by the second training camp practice at the Spokane Soccer Center. The Empire Fan Club will be treating the team to a BBQ after the morning's team activities at the Empire Front Office.
Sunday, February 7: The first weekend of training camp will conclude with morning meetings followed by practice at the Spokane Soccer Center.
Practices are open to the public unless otherwise noted ad will be held in the Spokane Soccer Center (SSC) located at 7320 E Nora Avenue.
