ALBANY, NY - The Albany Empire announced today that the team has signed Defensive Back/Wide Receiver Vonte Bates for the 2023 National Arena League season. Bates most recently played collegiately at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee from 2020-2022. During Bate's career at Bethel he appeared in 30 total games recording 239 total tackles 111 of which were solo tackles. Bates also produced 6 forced fumbles and 5 interceptions during his time.
