eMLS to Crown 2020 Champion Today With eMLS Cup Presented by Coca-Cola and PlayStation

NEW YORK - The 2020 eMLS Cup champion will be crowned today via eMLS Cup presented by Coca-Cola and PlayStation(R). The competition will be streamed live on Twitch.tv/MLS, Twitter.com/MLS and MLSsoccer.com from 1 p.m. ET - 6 p.m. ET. Competitors will be vying for title as best EA SPORTS™ FIFA 20 player in North America and $20,000 in prize money.

Twenty-five gamers representing twenty-five different MLS Clubs, competed in the 2020 eMLS season. Twelve competitors remain that will be competing on the eMLS Cup broadcast for the eMLS Cup crown. The top eleven competitors in total season points after League Series One and League Series Two automatically qualified while the final 12th seed was determined through a Last Chance Qualifier tournament on Friday among the remaining fourteen players.

In 2018, the Houston Dynamo's 'Kid M3mito' won the first eMLS Cup. In 2019, the Philadelphia Union's 'Doolsta' completed the eMLS treble by not only winning the second eMLS Cup but also the two 2019 League Series trophies. In 2020, FC Cincinnati's 'Fiddle' has claimed the League Series One and League Series Two trophies to secure the top seed heading into eMLS Cup.

eMLS Cup was initially scheduled to occur in March, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was rescheduled and will now be virtual. This enables all twelve competitors, talent, and crew to participate from the comfort of their homes.
