
Elmira's Jason Sessa and Kansas City's Maxime Gingras earn monthly honors

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Tuesday that Elmira Jackals right wing Jason Sessa has been named Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Month and Kansas City Outlaws goaltender Maxime Gingras has been named Southern Sports Supply UHL Goaltender of the Month for the month of October.
Sessa completed the month with 14 points (7g, 7a) and a plus-two rating in eight games. He recorded a hat trick (3g) on 10/16/04 vs. Danbury including a goal on a penalty shot. Sessa also tallied four points (1g, 3a) 10/29/04 vs. Richmond. He also has scored in each of the Jackals two shootout wins. The 27-year-old Long Island, New York native is currently tied for the league lead in points (14) and game-winning goals (2). He leads the league in power play goals (5) and power play points (8).
Other players nominated for the Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Month include: Adirondack left wing Hugo Belanger, Danbury forward John Morlang, Flint right wing Bobby Reynolds, Fort Wayne right wing Chris Grenville, Kalamazoo defenseman Daniel Carriere, Kansas City center Steve Yetman, Missouri center Jim Montgomery, Motor City center Blair Manning, Muskegon right wing Rustyn Dolyny, Port Huron center Aaron Brand, Quad City center Jason Deskins, Richmond right wing David Brosseau, and Rockford center J.C. Ruid.
Gingras finished the month with a 4-1-0 record, a 3.00 GAA, and .910 save percentage. He also turned away all 14 attempts he faced in the shootout during the month. The 26-year-old Lorretteville, Quebec native is currently tied for third in the league with four wins. Gingras is tied for the league lead with two shootout victories and his perfect shootout percentage (1.000) leads all UHL netminders.
