Eight items in live auction at Hot Stove Banquet

The Cedar Rapids Kernels are pleased to announce that eight premier items will be included in the live auction segment of the 9th Annual Hot Stove Banquet. The Hot Stove Banquet will be held on Thursday, February 10th at the Cedar Rapids Marriott starting at 5:30 pm. Proceeds from the live and silent auctions will benefit Tanager Place.

Live auction items include:

• Vladimir Guerrero autographed bat

• University of Iowa Signed Hawkeye Football

• Zephyr Mountain Condominium at The Village at Winter Park, Colorado

• Kerry Wood Signed Jersey

• Ron Santo Signed Jersey

• "We Will Not Forget" Tribute to the Heroes who Perished on September 11, 2001

• Arnold Palmer/Jack Nicklaus/Tiger Woods 1996 Masters Photo from the 17th Tee

• Lou Gehrig/Babe Ruth photo taken on July 4th, 1939Tickets for the 9th Annual Hot Stove Banquet are $35 in advance and $40 at the door.

Tickets are available by calling the Cedar Rapids Kernels at (319) 363-3887 or they may be purchased on-line at www.kernels.com.

The Kernels have raised over $50,000 for charity over the past eight years.

The Cedar Rapids Kernels open the 2005 Midwest League Season on Thursday, April 7th against the Kane County Cougars at noon.
