
Edge's Macon Collects Third Weekly Award

The top kick returner for the Bloomington Edge has received another weekly honor from the Champions Professional Indoor Football League.
Lavaughn Macon ran six kickoffs back for 151 yards during last Friday's home finale, a 51-33 loss to the Omaha Beef, to earn CPIFL Special Teams Player of the Week for the third time this season. Macon has returned 32 kickoffs for 726 yards in 10 games this season and has added four field goal returns for 124 yards. Macon averages 22.7 yards per kickoff return and 150.8 return yards per game. Macon also received the weekly nod on March 27 and April 24.
The Edge (5-5) conclude their season on the road for the final two games beginning with Saturday's matchup against the Mid-Missouri Outlaws in Sedalia, Mo. The 0-9 Outlaws lost 56-6 last week at Sioux City. The Edge conclude the season the following Saturday at Sioux City.
