Edge Travel to Sioux City to Face League Leaders

The Bloomington Edge try to keep their playoff hopes alive as they travel to first-place Sioux City on Saturday night.
Saturday's 7:05 p.m. game against the Sioux City Bandits at Tyson Events Center is a rematch of an April 19 Edge victory at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in which Bloomington captured a 52-43 victory. The Edge (4-5) knocked off the Salina Bombers last Saturday 58-50 in Bloomington while the Champions Professional Indoor Football League-leading Bombers (7-2) defeated the Omaha Beef 61-47. The Edge are tied for fifth in the CPIFL with the Lincoln Haymakers.
The Bandits lead the CPIFL with 57 points per game while the Edge are fourth at 47.2. Edge quarterback Charles Dowdell continues to lead the circuit with 1,756 passing yards and 1,959 yards of total offense. Edge running back Andre Raymond leads the league with 24 touchdowns, followed by Bandits John Bentley and Eddie Pertilla with 18 touchdowns each. Bentley leads all CPIFL rushers with 620 yards.
