Bloomington, IL - Playoff football is back in Bloomington! For the first time since 2009, the Bloomington Edge are hosting post-season action against the Sioux City Bandits this Saturday June 11th at 7 pm at US Cellular Coliseum. The Edge have ended the season on a 5-1 note after starting 2-4, and carry a four game win streak into Saturday's first round match up.
"The way we've responded since starting 2-4 has been nothing short of remarkable, and we are peaking at the right time. With the support of Edge United and all central Illinois football fans, we're looking to take this momentum into the CIF playoffs and bring home the CIF Trophy to Bloomington," said Head Coach John Johnson.
Playoff tickets are available NOW through the Edge Box Office (484-840-EDGE; tickets@bloomingtonedge.net).
"We are proud to host a CIF playoff game for the first time since 2009. The coaching staff and players have showed true character in fighting back from early season adversity. We have plenty of action planned for our fans on and off the field, who have been overwhelmingly supportive this year. The Edge are truly back!" said Team President Nargis Khokhar.
