The Bloomington Edge close out the 2013 season with hopes of reaching the .500 mark in a Saturday contest against a second-place team.
The Edge (5-6) play the Champions Professional Indoor Football League season finale on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. against the Sioux City Bandits (9-2) at Tyson Events Center's Gateway Arena. Both teams are coming off big wins as the Edge won over the host Mid-Missouri Outlaws 46-6 two weeks ago and the Bandits won at Kansas last week 55-8. The Edge were off last weekend.
The Bandits have outscored their opponents this season 470-309 while the Edge have outscored the opposition 483-403. The Edge's Marcus Lewis leads the team with 591 receiving yards while Andre Raymond leads the CPIFL with 23 touchdowns (18 rushing, 5 passing). The Edge's Ross Cochran leads the CPIFL with 83 tackles. The Bandits have the league's top rushing offense with 1,187 yards.
