Edge Ready to Bale Haymakers at Home Friday

The Bloomington Edge return home on Friday after suffering a Champions Professional Indoor Football League loss in last week's first road game of the season.

The Edge (1-2) face the Lincoln Haymakers (1-1) in a 7:05 p.m. kickoff on Friday at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. The Edge fell last Saturday at Wichita 52-22 while the Haymakers lost at home to the Sioux City Bandits 42-20.

The Edge scoring offense dropped from second to fifth in the CPIFL last week at 44 points per game while the Haymakers are tied for eighth at 29 points per contest. The Edge have split quarterbacking duties in their first three games but are expected to go with opening game starter David Knighton on Friday. Jasonus Tillery is the Edge's leading receiver with nine catches for 113 yards and three touchdowns, and Andre Raymond leads the Edge in rushing with 81 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries.

A.J. Toscano has quarterbacked the Lincoln offense with 24-of-39 passing for 209 yards with five interceptions and six touchdowns. His leading target is Nick Rhoades with 77 yards on 12 receptions including three touchdowns. Toscano is the leading rusher with 43 yards, but Marlon Lucky has 40 yards rushing on 11 carries.
