Bloomington, IL - The Bloomington Edge have re-signed star quarterback Caleb Holbrook, the team announced earlier today. Holbrook, a native of San Marcos, Texas, returns to the Edge for his second year of indoor football.

"Caleb brings all the skills needed to excel at the QB position. He is a legitimate dual threat in the red zone and he's going to improve even more in his second season," said Edge head coach Ameer Ismail.

Holbrook (6'3, 230 - Oklahoma Panhandle State) started 11 games for the Edge last season, completing 229 of 404 passes for 2,359 yards and 43 touchdowns. Holbrook ranked near the top of many passing categories at the end of his rookie campaign, including being second in the CIF in pass attempts, third in pass completions and total passing yards, and fourth in passing touchdowns. He added 304 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground after notching 67 rushing attempts.

"Caleb was a true leader on and off the field for our franchise last season,' Edge CEO Omar Khokhar reflected. "He progressed leaps and bounds in his rookie year, and we welcome him back to Bloomington to see what he can accomplish during his second professional indoor season."

The 2017 Bloomington Edge home schedule will be released in the coming week. Edge United season ticket memberships are now on sale starting at just $60 per seat. Group seats and luxury boxes are also available. Contact the Edge front office at (484) 840-EDGE, email tickets@bloomingtonedge.net, or visit the Edge website online at www.bloomingtonedge.net.
