Edge Prepare to Tame Wild at Home Friday

The Bloomington Edge host the top scoring team in the Champions Indoor Professional Football League on Friday night in a bid for payback for a loss to that squad two weeks ago.
The Edge (2-2) face the Wichita Wild (4-1) in a 7:05 p.m. kickoff on Friday at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Fans will receive a team photo compliments of CEFCU. The game can be heard on WJBC.com with pre-game at 6:45.
Bloomington is coming off of a 62-46 home win last Friday over the Lincoln Haymakers. The Wild suffered their first loss of the season last Saturday, a 40-36 defeat at Kansas City. The Wild handed the Edge a 52-22 loss at Hartman Arena in Wichita on March 30 in Bloomington's biggest loss and lowest point total of the season.
The Edge are led by quarterback David Knighton, who did not face the Wild two weeks ago. Knighton is 44-of-71 through the air with one interception and 10 touchdowns and is second in the league in total offense per game with 190.7 yards. His leading target continues to be Jasonus Tillery with 17 catches for 228 yards and six touchdowns. Andre Raymond leads all Edge rushers with 101 yards and five touchdowns.
The Wild average 51.4 points per game to lead the CPIFL, just ahead of the Edge with 48.5 points per contest. The Wichita defense surrenders only 149.5 yards per game which also leads the CPIFL. Quarterback Rocky Hinds leads the league with 23 touchdowns (3 rush, 20 pass) and is 65-for-109 passing with three interceptions. Tywon Hubbard leads the CPIFL with 6 yards per carry and has rushed for 300 yards this season.
