
Edge Look for Revenge Saturday at Omaha

The Bloomington Edge will try to rebound against a familiar opponent when they travel to Omaha this weekend.
The Edge (4-6) visit the Omaha Beef for a 7 p.m. kickoff at the Ralston Arena on Saturday. The Edge are coming off of a 63-39 loss at Sioux City last Saturday while the Beef (3-7) lost their fifth straight contest in a 67-56 defeat at Lincoln on Friday. ÃÂ The Beef nosed out the Edge 70-69 on March 29 at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
Edge quarterback Charles Dowdell continues to lead the Champions Professional Indoor Football League with 1,959 yards and 35 touchdowns through the air while completing 58.4 percent of his passes. His primary target, Marcus Lewis, is the league's top receiver with 839 yards and 17 touchdowns. Edge running back Andre Raymond leads the CPIFL with 26 touchdowns.
The Beef are led by 481 rushing yards by Preston Brown and 1,428 passing yards by Chris Coffin, who began his season in the first game against the Edge and has completed 62.6 percent of his passes. His top receivers are O.J. Simpson (471 yards, 7 touchdowns) and Anthony Parks (432 yards, 15 touchdowns).
