Edmonton, Ab. (September 14, 2012) - With just two games left in the 2012 NASL season, FC Edmonton is looking to go out with a bang when the Rowdies come to town on Sunday afternoon at Clarke (K.O. 2 p.m.).

After recently being eliminated from post-season contention, the Eddies will have to dig deep against the second stingiest defense in the league.

The Tampa Bay Rowdies have only allowed 29 goals in their 25 games played. Only the San Antonio Scorpions have a better defensive record with 21 goals against in 25 games.

FC Edmonton's offense came to life against the Carolina RailHawks on Wednesday night, in the form of Kyle Porter.

The FCE striker netted two goals against the 'Hawks, his fourth and fifth of the season, and is looking for more against the Rowdies on Sunday.

"I've had some personal success as of late but it really means nothing if the team isn't successful," Porter said. "We have to play for the fans now. They've supported us all season long so we owe it to them to perform at our highest level for these last two games and get them some wins."

After three games between the teams, the Rowdies lead the season series 3-0-0. Every game has been decided by a 1-0 score line.

The Eddies are hoping the 1 is on their side this time.

Sunday is Back 2 School Day at Clarke. Tickets purchased in advance of Sunday's game (before noon at www.fcedmonton.com. Enter back2school when purchasing) are $15 for students and families. The first 500 fans under the age of 18 will receive a Mack Bull Dog presented by NORTRUX and the first 1,000 fans through the gate will receive an FC Edmonton car flag.
