Edmonton, Ab. (June 14, 2012) - The skies opened up and the game changed last Sunday, eventually in FC Edmonton's favour.

On Saturday the Eddies travel to Florida to take on the Strikers (K.O. @ 5:30 p.m. MDT @ Lockhart Stadium) for the second time in less than a week, hoping to build on last week's 1-0 victory.

FCE fullback Antonio Rago was shown a straight red for his foul against the Strikers' Abe Thompson which resulted in a penalty kick being awarded on Sunday. Rago will miss Saturday's game.

Lance Parker, who saved the penalty, took home Defensive Player of the Week honours from the league for his shutout performance.

With Rago staying behind, technical director Joe Petrone has signed 18-year-old defender/midfielder Dino Gardner.

"We have some guys who are close to coming back from their injuries but aren't quite there yet," Petrone said. "With Rago's suspension, we needed to add some depth and Dino is a good, young Canadian talent. We're happy to have him."

The Eddies are in sixth place in the league with 11 points. The Strikers are in fourth, just two points ahead, making Saturday's game crucial in the standings.
