Ed Lecius to Help Celebrate 75th Anniversary of Holman Stadium on Sunday
June 14, 2013 - Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL)
Nashua Silver Knights News Release
NASHUA - Ed Lecius will return to his home at Holman Stadium as a tribute to his father Edward F. Lecius, Sr. who served as the play-by-play announcer for the Nashua Dodgers during the 1940's.
The tribute is fitting as it will take place on Father's Day.
The Silver Knights will pay tribute to the Nashua Dodgers by wearing commemorative Nashua Dodgers uniforms during the game courtesy of Bellavance Beverage with a special 75th Anniversary Holman Stadium hat.
Lecius learned from his father and followed in his father's footsteps serving as the play-by-play announcer for the California Angels Double-A baseball team at Holman Stadium in the 1980's.
Joining Lecius on Sunday will be former Nashua Dodgers players Don Chartier and Fred Gutherz. Lecius will announce the former Dodgers as they are honored during the game and will serve as a guest radio announcer for the Silver Knights game heard on WSMN 1590 AM.
