Aug. 4 and 5 will feature two separate free agent camps. Players may register for both camps. Early registration is $150 for both camps and $225 at the door.
"The early registration period is a good time to get your application materials in as well as reserve your spot for the event," said Miners Coach Kevin Keathley. "The free-agent camp is shaping up nicely. We have players representing all of the major colleges throughout the state registered to attend. The University of Kentucky, University of Louisville and Eastern Kentucky University are represented already through the early registration we've had. The event is for all those who are looking for the opportunity to further their basketball careers. Whether you have or have never played professionally, this is your opportunity to see if you have the ability to play on the CBA level."
For those who choose to register the day of the camp, registration will begin at 8 a.m. each morning. Each camp will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Both sessions will feature a break that will run from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Lunch will not be provided as part of the break.
The one-day free agent camps are invitation-only to the general public. Media members who contact the Miners public relations department will be permitted to attend either or both of the sessions.
All players should send a resume with their registration form. Players should also bring a second copy of their resume to the free agent camp. Game video - if available - is also encouraged. Payment and application materials should be sent to East Kentucky Miners Basketball, LLC., c/o Coach Kevin Keathley, 237 2nd Street Pikeville, Ky. 41501.
