The Charlotte Eagles want to thank all of their fans, both locally and across the nation for their wonderful support during the 2013 USL PRO season! The Eagles finished their season as the 2013 USL PRO Runner-Up after falling to Orlando City in the championship match 7-4 in front of 20,886 fans in the Citrus Bowl. The Eagles would like to especially thank all of the host families for hosting a player this season. The teams consisted of 18 new faces on the men's team and 17 new faces on the women's team. The impact host families have on these players is life changing! The Eagles are looking for host families for the 2014 season. Lady Eagles goalkeeper Robyn Jones is now an assistant coach at Pfeiffer University. Eagles captain Eric Reed will be coaching the Davidson Wildcat goalkeepers for a second year. Matt Gold will be coaching at The Ohio State University, while Brock Duckworth will be coaching the men's and women's goalkeepers for Winthrop. Brady Bryant has joined former Eagles player Ryan Souders on the Calvin College staff.
The Charlotte Lady Eagles concluded their season back in June. Some of the Lady Eagles have returned to their college to play this fall while others have moved on to play professionally in Europe. Be sure to check the website for an article coming soon about former Lady Eagles who are making an impact in the professional leagues of Europe.
Congratulations to Eagles' fan Adam Dartnall for winning the 2013 Eagles' Appreciation Give Away. The prize was a new iPad mini. Keep an eye out for next years giveaway at the beginning of the 2014 season.
