Charlotte Eagles News Release
The Charlotte Eagles come away with 3 points after taking care of business in Maryland. A decisive 3-0 win against the Real Maryland Monarchs move the Eagles into fourth place in the division.
Amaury Nunes scored the only goal off of an assist from Ben Page in the first half of play. Jorge Herrera found Chris Lemons in the seventy-seventh minute for goal number two and Patrick Daka unassisted, in the eighty-fourth minute, sealed the deal for the first of a two game road trip.
Coming off of a disappointing draw last weekend against Real Maryland, the Eagles were determined to find a way to win. The Eagles are now in control of their own destiny with a 6-5-5 record.
The division is very tight with only two points between fourth and sixth place... every game counts.
The Eagles continue their road trip tomorrow, Saturday, July 25, 2009, against Crystal Palace Baltimore (6-8-3).
The Eagles last home game will be August 15th at 7 PM EST at Charlotte Christian Stadium.
