Eagles Still in Second Place, Collect Four Points

Soo Eagles 4, Keystone Ice Miners 1 - Saturday, March 14, 2015

Trevor Cope scored twice to help the Soo Eagles salvage a weekend split with the Ice Miners and clinch a playoff spot in the process, on Saturday night at Pullar Stadium. The Eagles were fueled by three goals in the 1st period including two from Cope and another from Denver Pierce. The Ice Miners got their lone tally early in the 3rd period from Michael Maiden, but a late goal from Soo's Darren Brady added some insurance. Chad Catt made 25 saves in the win for the Eagles.

Keystone Ice Miners 4, Soo Eagles 1 - Friday, March 13, 2015

The Keystone Ice Miners scored two goals each, in the second and third periods, and defeated the Soo Eagles, 4-1 on Friday Night at Pullar Stadium. After a scoreless first period, Brad Pung put the Eagles on the board at the 3:35 mark of the second period, but that would be all the scoring for the Eagles on the night. Tommy Horn and Noah Batis would counter for the Ice Miners in the second, and Keystone took a 2-1 lead into the second intermission. Jacob Coleman would add an insurance tally for Keystone in the third period, with Austin Romzek adding an empty netter. Alex Blankenburg made 39 saves for Keystone in the win. Chad Catt had 30 saves for the Eagles.

Soo Eagles 2, Keystone Ice Miners 1, - Friday, March 13, 2015

There was no scoring at Pullar Stadium, in the resumed game from last month in Keystone, and the Soo Eagles earned a 2-1 victory. Matt Menta and Brad Pung scored in the 1st period, which would be enough for the Eagles. Matt Jones had the lone goal for the Ice Miners.
