AMARILLO, TEXAS This Saturday, the Amarillo Dusters face their first challenge in the 2008 season, traveling to Tulsa to take on the Talons. The Talons are the defending ArenaCup champions and are currently ranked #1 in the pre-season coach's poll.
A win against the Talons would secure an all-time 3-1 opening day record for the Dusters.
A victory against Tulsa would also give new head coach, Chris MacKeown his first win with the franchise.
"There is no doubt that this will be a challenge," MacKeown said. "However, we want to see what we are made of and what better way than to take on the defending champions right out of the gate."
New Dusters quarterback, Joel Steele, will lead the team, with Duster veteran receiver Craig Fulton, now in his fourth season with the franchise. The Dusters defense will be led by veteran, Aaron Williams.
"The coaches have been working very hard to get the right players here," said vice president, Joe Morgado. "It will be exciting to see this team perform."
