Amarillo Venom News Release
AMARILLO, Texas The Amarillo Dusters are preparing to face the Tulsa Talons on Saturday for the first round of the playoffs. The Dusters have teamed up with Beef O'Brady's, Miller Light, and Rock108 to host the first ever Dusters Watch Party at Beef O'Brady's located on 34th and Coulter. The party is on Saturday at 6:30 and there is no charge to come.
The Dusters are facing defending ArenaCup Champions, the Tulsa Talons. This is the first time that the Dusters have made it to the playoffs since 2005.
"We just want to bring as many Duster fans as possible in to watch the game," said Beef O'Brady's general manger, Brent Plaster. "It's good to be able to support the team even when they're out of town."
Fans will be able to catch the action on many of the large screen TVs in the restaurant as well as sign up to win prizes and giveaways. Miller Light will also be bringing samples of the Dusters energy drink, Havoc.
"We want people to have a great time while they're watching the game," Dusters vice president Joe Morgado said, "almost like being there."
The Duster Darlins will be there to cheer on the team. Also, throughout the game there will be drawings for Dusters hats and t-shirts as well as a grand prize drawing for season tickets. The only way to sign up to win the tickets is to be at the watch party on Saturday.
"We will definitely have a good time cheering on the Dusters," Plaster said.
