
Durazo Joins Charros

Nogales Charros News Release
The Nogales Charros of the Arizona-Mexico League of Professional Baseball Clubs have signed former University of Arizona baseball star Ernie Durazo to a 1 year contract.
In Ernie's senior year he was 3rd in the PAC 10 in hitting with a .395 batting average. He led the PAC 10 in doubles and was a 1st Team All PAC 10 selection. Ernie had a better fielding percentage than J.T. Snow did at the U of A. Ernie also was a 3rd Team All-American. Last year Ernie played at Auburn in the Toronto Blue Jays organization. He hit .295 with them.
Ernie joins former University of Arizona players Eric Torres, Omar Moraga, Diego Rico, David Quick, and Rob Elias on the Charros roster for 2003.
