Brevard Blue Ducks News Release
Melbourne, Florida â After a tough 112-103 loss to Brooklyn Friday, the Blue Ducks are eager to return to the court to play them again. So is Teddy Dupay.
A rusty, but energized Dupay scored 10 points in 20 minutes in his Blue Ducks debut and after the game, iced his sore body â a body that hadn't seen pro basketball action in over a year. But after a day of rest, he'll be ready to take on the Kings again Sunday.
"I'm really glad to be back playing basketball," said Dupay. "I'm not happy about the loss to the Kings. But we'll get them back Sunday. We have five more games left on this homestand. Now's time for us to start a winning streak."
Sunday's 5 PM contest against Brooklyn is Thunderstix night. The Blue Ducks will give the first 250 kids a pair Brevard Blue Ducks collectible Thunderstix
"The first Thunderstix night we have ever had was a couple of weeks ago during our last homestand," said team owner, Mike Richman. "It was incredible. The fans were clapping them all night. It was loud, it was fun and most of all, it was distracting to the other team. They missed a lot of key free throws down the stretch because of our fans. I'll also add that although we say the first 250 kids will receive them, we have enough on hand that we'll make sure every youngster attending will get a pair and be able to have fun and support our team."
