
Drive Complete Three-Team Trade

Grand Rapids Drive News Release
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Drive, the Official NBA G League Affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, announced a three-team trade with the Erie BayHawks and the Oklahoma City Blue earlier today.
Per the terms of today's trade, Grand Rapids will receive the returning player rights to Raphiael Putney from Erie. The Drive will also receive the returning player rights to Daniel Hamilton from Oklahoma City as well as the Blue's original 1st round pick in the 2018 draft (#19).
Raphiael Putney played his collegiate ball at UMass from 2010-2014. The 6'10 forward played for the RGV Vipers during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons and the Erie BayHawks during the 2017-18 season along with several other overseas teams. Putney competed in 46 games with Erie this past season, averaging 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds 1.8 assists, 2.3 blocks and 1.2 steals per game. Putney was with the Spurs Summer League team this past summer.
Daniel Hamilton played collegiately at Connecticut from 2014-16 and was selected by the Denver Nuggets 56th overall in the 2016 NBA Draft. The 6'7 guard has been with the OKC Blue during each of the last two seasons where he averaged 16.1 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 1.1 steals per game during the 2017-18 season. Hamilton was with the Thunder Summer League team this past summer.
With today's trade, Grand Rapids has agreed to send the returning player rights to Landry Nnoko and its own original 1st round pick in the 2018 draft (#21) to Erie. The Drive will also send the returning player rights to K.J. McDaniels to the OKC Blue.
The 2018 NBA G League Draft will take place October 20, 2018.
