Dragons Team Up with Sprint PCS, Tom's Foods, and Coca-Cola for Debut of Friends and Family Flex Pla

COLUMBUS, Ga., Oct. 15 – The Columbus Riverdragons along with Sprint PCS, Tom's Foods, and Coca-Cola have announced the introduction of the new Friends and Family Flex Plan for the upcoming 2004-05 NBDL season. For only $48, Riverdragons fans can purchase four premium tickets to a Riverdragons home game and receive four hot dogs, four bags of Tom's Foods chips, four Coca-Cola soft drinks, four souvenir programs, and four free Sprint PCS Vision camera phones with activation of new line of service and a two-year agreement.

The Friends and Family Flex Plan offers fans from around the Chattahoochee Valley terrific value at an affordable price and works great as gifts or rewards for employees, clients and vendors. Fans may select the game they would like to attend at the time of purchase or redeem their vouchers on the day of the game (seats are subject to availability).

The Riverdragons will play 25 home games at the Columbus Civic Center. Columbus will play 14 of its 25 regular season home games on weekends or holidays, including: Opening Night/Military Appreciation Night (Saturday, November 20) and Martin Luther King Day (Monday, January 17). The Dragons schedule also includes seven other Saturday home games.

Friends and Family Flex Plans can also be purchased at the Columbus Civic Center box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, including Publix supermarkets, or the Riverdragons office, located at 18 East 11th Street in Uptown Columbus.

The NBDL, the NBA's minor league, includes the Asheville Altitude (N.C.), Columbus Riverdragons (Ga.) Fayetteville Patriots (N.C.), Florida Flame (Ft. Myers), Huntsville Flight (Ala.), and Roanoke Dazzle (Va.).

The league offers players the opportunity to develop their talent in a highly competitive atmosphere under the NBA's umbrella. Twenty-eight (28) players have been called up the NBA on 40 separate occasions. Nine former NBDL coaches, six athletic trainers, six referees and 34 front office executives have also been called up since the start of the league's inaugural season in November 2001.
