SAN JOSE, CA - Denver attackman Matt Brown had six goals, and goaltender Jesse Schwartzman made 17 saves, as the visiting Denver Outlaws came into Spartan Stadium, and left with the victory Saturday night. Former Dragon Ryan Powell recorded six points (two goals and four assists) for Denver.

For San Francisco, six different Dragons chipped in for the team's eight goals. Midfielder Bill McGlone and attackman Lewis Ratcliff each had a pair. Attackman All-Star Jake Byrne and midfielder Tim Booth each had one goal and one assist. Captain Liam Banks returned to the field after a 3 week absence following knee surgery to post 2 goals in the losing effort. Midfielder Xander Ritz also netted a goal.

Denver got out to a quick start, scoring within the first 78 seconds of each of the first three quarters. Brian Langtry and Brown put the Outlaws up 2-0, only to see San Francisco battle back with scores from Banks and Byrne. Brown answered back, giving them a lead they would not relinquish for the rest of the contest.

Despite the loss, the Dragons continued to dominate on man down penalties situations, holding Denver scoreless on seven man advantages, raising their penalty killing percentage to 77.55%, 2nd in the league. San Francisco was 2-for-6 on the man advantage.

Denver (7-3) will head home to take on the Chicago Machine (2-7) next Saturday, July 26 at INVESCO Field.

San Francisco travels to Long Island on Saturday, July 26th at 7PM (ET) for the first meeting of these two teams this season. The contest will be televised live on Comcast SportsNet West. The Dragons return to Spartan Stadium for their final home game against Los Angeles Riptide on Saturday, August 2.
