Burlingame (CA) - The San Francisco Dragons (www.sanfranciscodragons.com) of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) announce today a change in venue for the 2008 season. The team's home games will be played at San Jose State University's Spartan Stadium due to a new arrangement with stadium operators Global Spectrum and San Jose State University.

"With its 30,000 seats, Spartan Stadium is the perfect venue for us to bring Major League Lacrosse to the fans of the Bay area," said Doug Locker, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Dragons. "Global Spectrum and San Jose State University (www.sjsu.edu) presented us with a terrific opportunity to bring our games to San Jose and we're really looking forward to our new home."

Spartan Stadium is home to San Jose State University's football and soccer teams (www.sjsuspartans.com). Spartan Stadium is a 30,000 seat stadium providing fans with seating in close proximity to the playing field and excellent sight lines. Owned by San Jose State University, the venue is managed by Global Spectrum, the fastest growing firm in the public assembly management field.

"Spartan Stadium is an amazing venue in which we can showcase the best field lacrosse in the world to the fans of the bay area," commented Doug Locker, Executive Vice President and General Manager.

"Global Spectrum is very excited to be a part of this transition in bringing professional field lacrosse to Spartan Stadium and the San Jose area," said Global Spectrum's Tim Higgins, General Manager of Spartan Stadium. "We're committed to providing the ultimate game-day experience for Dragons fans and we can't wait for the first game at Spartan Stadium."

The San Francisco Dragons' 2008 season is expected to kick off May 31st.

"Playing in Spartan Stadium really allows us to enhance the Major League Lacrosse experience for Dragons fans with an exciting game on the field, amazing food and beverage service and plenty of parking in close proximity to the venue," added Locker.

"This has been a fast paced off-season for the Dragons, with many changes. We've done everything to make the fan experience the best: phenomenal athletes, brilliant execution, exciting night-time action and entertainment, and first rate dining and beverage options." said San Francisco Dragons' President Hank Molloy.

The San Francisco Dragons played their first two seasons at historic Kezar Stadium in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. The Dragons expect that their move to the Spartan Stadium will generate an even greater fan base with neighboring local professional indoor lacrosse team, the San Jose Stealth of the National Lacrosse League, as well as the exposure to new communities in the Bay Area.

Tickets can be ordered by calling 650-375-1208 or visiting the team website at www.sanfranciscodragons.com.
