Dragons Advance in Logo Contest

Dayton, Ohio-The Dayton Dragons' official team logo received 59 percent of over 6,700 votes on Thursday, defeating the logo of the Midland Rockhounds in the second round of the CNBC Minor League Baseball logo tournament.

The Dragons logo advances to the final 16 in the tournament based on fan voting. On Tuesday, March 25th, the Dragons logo will be matched against the logo of the Jamestown Jammers.

Dragons fans are encouraged to visit www.darrenrovell.com and click on MINOR LEAGUE LOGO CONTEST-DAY TWELVE VOTING after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday to vote. Voting will continue until 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

The Dragons were chosen for the tournament as one of the 64 best logos in Minor League Baseball among more than 200 clubs, and they are currently among 16 teams still in contention. They defeated the Evansville Otters in the first round on March 14th.

The single elimination tournament concludes on March 31st. The tournament is being conducted by CNBC Sports Business Reporter Darren Rovell.
