Garrett Anderson

Round 7, Pick 151

In the seventh round of this year's NAHL Draft, the Minnesota Magicians elected to deepen their defensive corps by selecting Garrett Anderson, a defenseman from the Omaha Lancers AAA program of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL).

A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Anderson has been a member of the Lancers 16U team for the past two seasons. In 2014-2015, he played in 21 games and registered 3 goals and 6 assists for a total of 9 points. This season he picked up just over a point per game, notching 11 goals and 16 assists for a total of 27 points in 25 games played.

Speaking about the skill and potential possessed by Anderson, Magicians Head Coach and General Manager Scott Meyer said, "Garrett is a smart defenseman that absolutely has the ability to play Division I hockey some day."

The Magicians will host their 2016 Main Camp at Richfield Ice Arena from July 22nd through July 24th. Season tickets for the upcoming season are on sale now at the Magicians online store, call 612-861-9356 or email info@minnesotamagicians.com!
