
Dogins and Roundtree Activated Off Injured Reserve

TAMPA BAY - The Five-Time World Champion Tampa Bay Storm have activated lineman Kevin Dogins and wide receiver/defensive back Alphonso Roundtree off of injured reserve, General Manager/Head Coach Tim Marcum announced today.
Dogins, a 6-foot-3, 310-pound OL/DL will appear in his first-ever AFL game. Dogins played in the NFL for eight seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles. Dogins, 33, started at center in 17 of 47 games that he appeared in.
Roundtree, 28, will also be making his AFL debut this Sunday against the Force. Roundtree spent one season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1999) and three seasons with the Miami Dolphins (2003-05). The University of Tulane graduate spent three seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Montreal Alouettes (2000-01) and the Ottawa Renegades (2002).
Lineman Rod Williams has been placed on injured reserve after suffering a torn left achilles tendon last Saturday against the New York Dragons. Williams, a nine-year AFL veteran, underwent successful surgery repairing the tendon this past Tuesday.
The Storm hit the road to take on the Georgia Force in a critical Southern Division match-up Sunday at 3 pm (TV: Sun Sports, Radio: WDAE 620AM). Last Saturday the Storm defeated the New York Dragons at the St. Pete Times Forum, 60-44.
