
DL Chaquil Reed Returns to Force

WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita Force has announced; 3rd year defensive lineman Chaquil Reed has re-signed with the Force for 2017 the season.
Reed was a key contributor to the Force's championship run, leading the Force defensive line in tackles with 42. Reed also accounted for 7.5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks for a Force defense that finished 4th in the CIF in points allowed. Reed's best game of the 2016 season game on April 1st at home against the Bloomington Edge. Reed totaled 10 tackles and 1 tackle for loss against the Edge in a tight 51-48 Force victory.
In his rookie season with the Force, Reed made an impact early but was sidelined by a season ending foot injury suffered in week 9 against the Sioux City Bandits. He finished the season with 27 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and 1 sack.
Reed is a Wichita native and graduate of Wichita East High School. He attended Butler Community College before transferring to Kansas State University. During his time at Butler, Reed helped compile a 22-2 record. As a senior at Kansas State, he finished with 34 tackles, five tackles for loss and two sacks to lead to Wildcats to an 8-5 record and a 31-14 win over Michigan in the 2013 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.
