Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox News Release

MARYSVILLE, CALIFORNIA: The Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox are proud to announce the signing of outfielder, Brody Clifford. "I've heard nothing but great things about Brody and I'm excited to have him come out to Marysville this summer. They run a great program at Dixie State and are sending great, competitive guys to play. We look forward to seeing them progress both on and off the field," says VP/GM Michael Mink.

The Arizona native is currently a junior majoring in Business Management at Dixie State, and has been playing baseball since he was 8 years old. He attended Bradshaw Mountain High School where he and the team finished the 2012 season with an impressive 19-9 record and a trip to the 2nd round of the Division II State Tournament. As a junior, he had a .429 AVG and led the team with 28 RBIs. As one of the top offensive and defensive players on his team, Clifford was named the 2012 All-Area Prep Baseball Player of the Year by the Daily Courier.

During his time at Yavapai Community College, he distinguished himself as a player to compete with. He made the 2nd Team All-Region Player during his freshman year and had a .324 AVG, was 2nd in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) with 21 doubles. He finished his season with a .987 fielding percentage, and helped the Roughriders make it to the Junior World Series as a Sophomore. Clifford will play ball for Dixie State this Spring and we're excited to track his progress as he prepares for this summer.

Before each game, he likes to sit in the outfield and watch the opposing pitcher so he can accurately prepare. "I'm excited to come play for the Gold Sox," says Clifford, and he looks forward to meeting and getting to know all of the wonderful fans.
