
Disciplinary Prefect hands down suspensions to seven players

BOUCHERVILLE, Saturday, March 26, 2011 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Disciplinary Prefect, Raymond Bolduc, today suspended seven players following incidents which occurred during last night's action.
Val-d'Or Foreurs right-winger Jonathan Hazen is suspended three games for a hit from behind.
Lewiston MAINEiacs' forward Antoine Houde-Caron is suspended three games for a dangerous bodycheck. His teammate, Ian Saab, is suspended one game for a punch.
Gatineau Olympiques right-winger Tommy Tremblay is suspended two games for slew footing.
Rimouski Océanic defenseman �tienne Boutet is suspended two games for a dangerous bodycheck.
Moncton Wildcats left-winger Marek Hrivik is suspended one game for a punch.
Finally, Saint John Sea Dogs defenseman Danick Gauthier is suspended one game for a dangerous bodycheck.
The decisions were rendered after reviewing the videotapes of the incidents, gathering the testimonies from the players and the organizations involved, reading the officials' reports and consulting the independent committee in the matter of disciplinary sanctions.
The Disciplinary Prefect will not be available for further comment.
