Director of Player Personnel Dave Mogensen Hired as Head Coach of the Iowa Barnstormers

ALBANY, NY - The Albany Empire are proud to congratulate former Director of Player Personnel Dave Mogensen on being named the head Coach of the Iowa Barnstormers.
Dave was an intrical part of the Empire's 2021 championship campaign as the spearhead of the roster development with Coach Menas.
Coach Mogensen and Coach Menas have a long history together spanning from battling across the sidelines with each other in the collegiate ranks as head coaches - they were able to work together to help the Green Bay Blizzard reach the IFL playoffs in 2019 so when Coach Menas was named the Albany Head Coach in 2021, Coach Mogensen was one of the first people he called about getting involved with the Empire.
Coach Tom Menas spoke on the impact of Dave's new position, "It's always considered a great honor when one of your staff members is hired as a head coach, as it solidifies that we are doing things to help not only our players to get to the next level but also our coaches".
Coach Mogensen said this about his time in Albany "I can't thank Coach Menas and the Albany ownership group enough for the opportunity to be a part of the 2021 season - we couldn't have imagined the success we would reach with the hecticness of building a roster in a few weeks. I wish Albany great future success and have no doubt they will once again be in the mix for the 2022 NAL Championship"
