Sports Authority Renews Partnership with Danbury Whalers

Host Families Needed

The Danbury Whalers organization is looking for generous & caring individuals & families willing to open their homes to members of the Danbury Whalers Hockey team.

The Whalers are currently searching for individuals & families in the Danbury area willing to provide a comfortable home & atmosphere for the 2012 hockey season.

We are looking for two situations to be filled.

Training Camp Housing

From the time our training camp starts (October 18th) to the 1st of the month (November), we have a shortage of housing options.

We are looking for families to provide the players with 13 days to get us through this stretch

In Season Housing

From training camp until the end of the season

We are looking for the host family program to become a vital part of our program and community.

The host will get to connect with their player, learn about the day to day trials & tribulations and get an inside look at professional hockey that few get to experience. In addition you & your player will have the opportunity to make a new and lasting friendship.

As a host family, we are looking to provide our players with a stable, clean, and healthy home environment.

The Whalers organization will provide a stipend to the host family for each player.
