The EuroCup Women quarter-finals begin for Deanna Nolan, Cheryl Ford and their Anda teammates on Thursday, February 2 as they face off against Spartak Moscow Region. Spartak features none other than noted Shock rival Lisa Leslie of the Los Angeles Sparks. Leslie isn't the only WNBA player on the Spartak roster. Joining her are Crystal Robinson of the Liberty; Ticha Penicheiro of the Monarchs; former NY forward Linda Frohlich; former LA, Indiana, Phoenix and Houston guard Gordana Grubin; and Detroit's Irina Osipova who sat out the 2005 WNBA season due to pregnancy.

Anda picked up two wins in Israeli League competition over the past week with a 113-76 win over Maccabi Ashdod and a 77-53 win over Hapoel Tel Aviv. The victory over Maccabi Ashdod clinched first place for Anda in the regular season, and they pulled out the win without relying on many of their key components - Ford played just seven minutes, scoring seven points and grabbing two rebounds; Nolan played 15 minutes, scoring eight points, grabbing four boards and handing out three assists; and Ujhelyi played seven minutes scoring five points and grabbing four rebounds.

Against Hapoel Tel Aviv, Nolan posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds while Ford scored 11 points and grabbed three boards in 19 minutes and Ujhelyi added six points and six rebounds in 17 minutes.

Anda's next Israeli League game is scheduled for Sunday, February 5 against Bnei Yehuda.

Plenette Pierson and Coconuda Maddaloni begin EuroCup Women quarter-finals competition on February 2 vs. BC Chevakata featuring former Comets and Sting center Elena Shakirova.

Coconuda split both of its Italian League games this past week and were unable to make any headway in cleaning up the ten-team logjam atop the league standings. Three games separate the first and 10th team in the league, with Coconuda in a four-way tie for seventh.

On January 26, Pierson and Coconuda topped Phard Naolpi 75-67. Pierson had a team-high 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the win. On January 29, Pierson was limited to eight points and nine rebounds as Coconuda lost a tight 60-58 decision to Germano Zama Faenza.

Pierson's next Italian League game is scheduled for Sunday, February 5 against Acetum Cavezzo.

Barbara Farris traveled to France in mid-January to begin playing for Saint-Amand PH. On January 30, Farris scored a team-high 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 70-55 win over Cob Calais.

Farris' next French League game is scheduled for the weekend of February 11 vs. Cavigal Nice Sports Basket.

Ruth Riley has completed her overseas obligations with Yaya Maria Porta XI and will join the Colorado Chill for their spring season beginning in February.

Kara Braxton has completed her overseas obligations with TS Wis"a Can-Pack Kraków and is currently in exploring her options with regards to other overseas opportunities.
