Anda Ramat Hasharon remained perfect in EuroCup Woman competition defeating WBC Kimico 72-62 on November 17. Deanna Nolan scored 22 points, grabbed three rebounds and picked up three steals while Cheryl Ford added another double-double to her resume with 21 points and 14 boards. Former Shock forward Petra Ujhelyi scored three points and grabbed three rebounds for Anda.

Anda plays Mersin on Thanksgiving Day.

Anda edged out Hapoel Haifa/Motzkin in a double-overtime thriller on November 14, 85-83, and is now the lone undefeated team in Israeli League Division I play. Nolan figured prominently in the win as she drained a three-pointer at the end of regulation to tie the game and found Ujhelyi with mere seconds left in the second overtime to secure the victory.

Ford scored 14 points and grabbed a season-high 20 rebounds while Nolan scored a team-high 24 points, grabbed six boards, and handed out five assists, although she was forced into five turnovers. Ujhelyi scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for Anda as well.

Connecticut's Le'Coe Willingham scored a game-high 31 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the loss, while former Miami, Minnesota, Detroit, Phoenix and New York guard/forward Tamara Moore added 18 points and eight rebounds.

Ford and Nolan had this week off in Israeli League play, but step back out onto the court on November 28 vs. winless Maccabi Ashdod (0-4).

Coconuda Maddaloni edged its record over .500 at 3-2 with a two-point nail-biter over previously unbeaten Halcon Avenida Salamanca on November 16. Plenette Pierson scored 18 points and gabbed nine rebounds against Halcon Avenida - a team that boasts four current and former WNBA players.

Former Shock forward Elena Tornikidou scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the losing effort while the Indiana Fever's Kelly Schumacher added 14 points and five boards. Seattle's Simone Edwards scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds, and Minnesota's Nuria Martinez added six points.

Cocunuda faces cellar-dweller BG Dorsten (0-5) on Wednesday, November 23.

Ruth Riley and Yaya Maria Porta XI moved into a tie for fourth place in Spanish League play with a 79-61 win over Mann Filer Zaragoza on November 19. Riley posted a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double while former Houston forward Catarina Pollini added six points in the win.

Charlotte's Kristen Rasmussen scored six points, grabbed three rebounds and handed out three assists in the loss, and Minnesota's Kristen Mann added 11 points and two boards.

Riley's next Spanish League game is November 26 vs. Real Club Celta Vigourban (3-5).

Kara Braxton and TS Wisła Can-Pack Kraków fell to 1-3 in EuroLeague Women Qualification Round competition with a 71-55 loss to Lietuvos Telekomas on November 16. Braxton paced Wisla Can-Pack with 14 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots, but she also committed seven turnovers on the evening.

Phoenix Mercury guard Anna DeForge struggled from the field for Wisla Can Pack scoring 11 points on four of 13 shooting from the field including one of six from three-point range.

Connecticut's Katie Douglas poured in 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Lietuvos Telekomas, while Sun teammate Jen Derevjanik added two points, two rebounds and two assists and Indiana's Jurgita Streimikyte added 13 points and seven rebounds.

Wisła Can-Pack's next EuroLeague match is Wednesday, November 23 vs. Dynamo (3-1).

Anda remained undefeated in Israeli League play, but their third win of the season came in another nail-biter - 76-75 vs. Maccabi Ramat Hen (1-2). Deanna Nolan paced Anda (3-0) with 26 points on 11 of 16 shooting from the field along with six rebounds, while Ford posted another double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds for the victors. Former Shock forward Petra Ujhelyi added six points and seven boards for Anda.

Former Portland Fire forward Amber Hall posted a double-double in the loss for Maccabi Ramat Hen with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Ford and Nolan return to Israeli League play on November 14 in a match-up of undefeated teams as they host Happoel Haifa/Motzkin (2-0).

Elaine Powell and Ros Casares Valencia picked up their first EuroLeague Women Qualification Round win with an 80-78 victory over USK Praha on November 10. Powell scored 10 points on the night including the game-winning deuce with two seconds to go in regulation. She added two rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Former Washington, Indiana and Seattle center Allessandra Santos scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds and former Utah Starzz guard Elisa Aguilar added eight points, two rebounds and three assists in the win.

Seattle's Janell Burse scored a game high 28 points on 12 of 16 shooting from the field for USK Praha adding 10 rebounds, and former Utah and Phoenix forward/center Michaela Pavlickova scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the loss.

Ros Casares' next EuroLeague game is November 17 vs. Dexia Namur (1-2).

Los Angeles Sparks center Jessica Moore led Universitario de Ferrol with 24 points and six rebounds while former Storm draft pick Ashley Battle scored seven points and grabbed eight boards.

Former Sparks' forward Vedrana Grgin Fonseca (14 points) and Minnesota's Kristi Harrower (11) both scored in double-figures for USVO and former Mercury center Slobodanka Tuvic added four points and five rebounds in the loss.

Deanna Nolan scored a game-high 19 points on 7 of 12 shooting, while grabbing seven rebounds and handing out six assists. Cheryl Ford scored nine points, grabbed 15 rebounds and blocked three shots while former Shock forward Petra Ujhelyi added a double-double for the victors with 16 points and 15 boards.

Former Storm, Rocker, Lynx and Monarchs forward Adia Barnes scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds in the loss, while Phoenix's Ashley Robinson scored eight points and grabbed eight rebounds and former Shock forward Gergana Branzova-Erdeney scored 11 points and grabbed seven boards.

Anda remained undefeated in Israeli League play with a 64-62 squeaker over Raanana Hertzeliya on October 31. It took a 16-point comeback by Anda to pick up the win, and Ford told Lior Klinger of www.safsal.co.il that "I've never played that bad in my life." Still, Anda Ramat Hasharon pulled it together long enough to hold Raanana Hertzeliya to just four points in the fourth quarter for the win.

Ford scored eight points on the evening on 3 of 12 shooting, and grabbed 12 rebounds. Nolan scored a game-high 17 points.

Braxton posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds adding three steals while shooting six of 16 from the field including one of two from three-point range.

Elaine Powell and Ros Casares Valencia dropped their first Euroleague Women Qualification Round match to MiZo-Pécs 77-64 on October 26. Powell scored nine points on 4 of 7 shooting for Ros Casares but the New York Liberty's Vickie Johnson scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help MiZo-Pécs to the win.

Ros Casares' next Euroleague game is November 2 vs. USO Basket.

Things were better for Powell and Ros Casares in Spanish League competition as they upended Ruth Riley's Yaya María Porta XI club on October 29, 69-53. Powell scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Ros Casars improved to 4-1 on the year. Riley scored a game-high 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the loss as Yaya María Porta XI dropped to 2-3 on the year.

Powell's next Spanish League game is November 5 vs. Universitat De Barcelona - FCB.

Kara Braxton and TS Wisła Can-Pack Kraków dropped their first Euroleague Women Qualification Round competition on October 26 losing to Phard Napoli 68-59. Braxton scored 12 points on five of 13 shooting from the field, grabbed three rebounds and picked up an assist and a steal. The Phoenix Mercury's Anna DeForge led TS Wisła Can-Pack Kraków in scoring with 24 points on the night.

Phard Napoli was led by two WNBA veterans - Mery Andrade and Vickey Bullett. Andrade scored 17 points on eight of 12 shooting from the floor and grabbed seven rebounds while Bullett added 13 points on six of 12 shooting and grabbed four boards.

Euroleague Women competition continues for Wisła Can-Pack on November 2 against K Cero ICP.

Wisła Can-Pack remained the lone undefeated (5-0) team in Polish League play as they upended Cukierki Odra Brzeg 77-43 on October 29. Braxton scored a game-high 18 points on six of 10 shooting from the floor while grabbing nine rebounds. DeForge chipped in with 13 points and four assists on the evening.

Polish league play continues for Braxton and company on November 12 when they face PZU Polfa Pabianice.

Deanna Nolan and Cheryl Ford have Anda Ramat Hasharon (2-0) perched atop the EuroCup Women Group G standings early in the Preliminary Round.

Anda opened the season on October 20 with a convincing 103-31 win over KK Jedinstvo as Ford paced the team in scoring (14), rebounding (7), steals (6) and blocked shots (3) while making all six of her attempts from the field. Nolan connected on five of 10 shots for 11 points and added three assists and two steals in the blowout win. Five members of the Anda squad scored in double figures, and every player on the roster scored at least four points.

Two days later, Anda again faced off against KK Jedinstvo posting a decisive 115-44 victory. Ford grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds and blocked three shots on the night while connecting on four of six shots from the field. Nolan score a season-high 16 points on 8 of 13 shooting from the field, grabbing seven rebounds, handing out four assists and picking up three steals. As a team, Anda made 69.6 percent of its field goal attempts

Plenette Pierson opened up Group L Preliminary Round play on October 19 with an impressive 16-point, 15-rebound double-double for Coconuda Maddaloni. She just missed a triple-double adding eight steals, but it wasn't enough to prevent Coconuda (0-1) from falling 70-63 to Stade Clermontois Auvergne Basket 63 (1-0). Coconuda's problems came on the defensive end where they allowed SCAB 63 to connect on 59.0 percent of its two-pointers and 62.5 percent of its three pointers on the evening.

Pierson's next EuroCup match is October 27 vs. Halcon Avenida Salamanca (1-0) who defeated BG Dorsten 68-51 in their first game of the Round. The EuroCup Women Preliminary Round runs through November 24 with the two best teams in each group, along with the eight best third-place finishers, advancing to the Sixteenth-Finals.

Coconuda Maddaloni is also already five games deep into its Italian League competition and is 3-2 on the year - tied for fifth place in the 16-team division. Pierson scored 19 points on 7 of 12 shooting from the field in a season-opening 73-50 win over Famila Schio on October 2. She followed that performance up with a 23-point, nine rebound effort in an 88-74 loss to Acer Priolo on October 9.

Pierson scored 18 points and grabbed eight boards in a 92-58 win over Centro S. Palladio VI, as she connected on 8 of 15 shots from the field. On October 16 she added 11 points and seven rebounds in a 64-59 win over Phard Napoli as the team ran its record to 3-1.

On October 23, Pierson exploded for a season-high 27 points on 12 of 20 shooting and grabbed six rebounds, but it wasn't enough to prevent Coconuda Maddaloni from falling to Germano Zama Faenza 85-61.

Elaine Powell has her Ros Casares Valencia Club at 3-1 and tied for third place through four games in the 14-team Spanish League. On October 8, Powell scored seven points on 3 of 7 shooting from the field and grabbed four rebounds to help Ros Casares to a 65-58 come-from-behind win over EBE Promociones-PDV Sta.Eulaia.

On October 12, she scored 10 points while grabbing four boards in a 59-54 win over Cajacanarias in which Ros Casares withstood a fourth-quarter rally that saw Cajacanarias outscore Powell's squad 20-9 in the period.

Ros Casares ran its record to 3-0 on October 15 with a 79-41 win over Cadi La Seu D'Urgell as Powell scored 11 points, grabbed three rebounds and handed out four assists on the night.

Powell and company played their fourth Spanish League game on October 22 vs. Perfumerias Avenida. The Shock point guard scored 15 points and grabbed three rebounds as Ros Casares Valencia fell for the first time this season, 77-58.

EuroLeague Women competition begins October 26.

The next Spanish league competition for Powell comes against Shock teammate Ruth Riley's Yaya Maria Porta XI club on October 29.

Ruth Riley and Yaya Maria Porta XI are 2-2 on the year and tied for seventh place in the 14-team Spanish League. They opened the 2005-06 season on October 8 with an 86-74 loss to Hondarribia - Iru'n. Riley scored 18 points on 8 of 15 shooting and added five rebounds and three assists in the loss. Four days later, they dropped their second straight game to start the season in a 65-55 loss to USP CEU - Adecco Estudiantes. Riley scored 11 points and grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds, however a 17-6 deficit in the second quarter was too much to overcome.

Yaya Maria Porta XI got things on track on October 15 vs. EBE Promociones-PDV Sta.Eulalia as they snapped their two-game losing streak with a 75-58 win. Riley scored eight points and grabbed seven rebounds in the win. Most recently, on October 22, Riley scored 10 points on 5 of 11 shooting and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds in a 65-52 win over Cadi La Seu D'Urgell.

Riley's next Spanish League game is October 29 against Shock teammate Elaine Powell and Ros Casares Valencia.

Kara Braxton's TS Wisla Can-Pack Kraków continued its early-season success in Polish League play by running its record to an unblemished 4-0. On October 12, the 6-6 Braxton scored 11 points on 4 of 9 shooting, grabbed a team-high nine rebounds and picking up four steals vs. £ódzki Klub Sportowy Siemens AGD. Teammate Anna DeForge of the Phoenix Mercury chipped in a game-high 18 points for Wisla Can-Pack.

Three days later, Braxton scored 24 points on 9 of 15 shooting from the field, adding 11 rebounds and three steals in leading Wisla Can-Pack to a 73-59 win over AZS Poznañ while DeForge added 11 points. AZS Poznañ closed what had been a double-digit lead to four at the end of the third quarter, but Wis"a Can-Pack outscored AZA Poznañ 26-16 in the fourth for the win.

One week later, Braxton's 10 points and five boards in just 16 minutes helped TS Wisla Can-Pack Kraków to its fourth win in as many games, as they topped Kolegium Karkonoskie AZS Jelenia Góra 85-30.

Wisla Can-Pack's next Polish League game is October 29 vs. Cukierki Odra Brzeg. They open EuroLeague Women Qualifying Round competition on October 26 vs. Phard Napoli.

Kara Braxton made her overseas debut for TS Wisla Can-Pack Kraków in Poland on Wednesday scoring 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the field, while grabbing seven rebounds, blocking two shots and picking up a steal. Teammate and Phoenix Mercury guard Anna DeForge chipped in 17 points for TS Wisla Can-Pack Kraków in their 69-66 win over AZS PWSZ Gorzów Wlkp.
