Detroit Shock News Release
Cheryl Ford and Deanna Nolan improved Anda Ramat Hasharon's record to a perfect 3-0 in EuroCup Women Preliminary Round competition with an 89-55 win over WBC Kimico on October 27. Nolan scored a game-high 20 points on 9 of 11 shooting while grabbing three rebounds, handing out two assists and picking up three steals. Ford grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds and scored 12 points in the win.
Anda's next EuroCup Women game is November 3 vs. Mersin.

Anda opened Israeli League play with an 81-66 win over Maccabi Tel Kabir. Nolan scored 18 points, grabbed seven rebounds and handed out five assists, while Ford posted a 15-point, 16-rebound double-double in the win.
Ford and Powell return to Israeli League play October 31 vs. Raamama Hertzliya.

Plenette Pierson and Coconuda Maddaloni fell to 0-2 in EuroCup Women Preliminary Round play on October 27. Pierson scored 10 points, but missed 12 of 17 shots from the field on the evening. She did add six rebounds and a game-high four assists and five steals.
Cocunuda plays Group L's other 0-2 team BG Dorsten on November 2.

Elaine Powell and Ros Casares Valencia dropped their first Euroleague Women Qualification Round match to MiZo-Pécs 77-64 on October 26. Powell scored nine points on 4 of 7 shooting for Ros Casares but the New York Liberty's Vickie Johnson scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help MiZo-Pécs to the win.
Ros Casares' next Euroleague game is November 2 vs. USO Basket.

Things were better for Powell and Ros Casares in Spanish League competition as they upended Ruth Riley's Yaya MarÃa Porta XI club on October 29, 69-53. Powell scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds as Ros Casars improved to 4-1 on the year. Riley scored a game-high 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the loss as Yaya MarÃa Porta XI dropped to 2-3 on the year.
Powell's next Spanish League game is November 5 vs. Universitat De Barcelona - FCB.

Kara Braxton and TS Wis"a Can-Pack Kraków dropped their first Euroleague Women Qualification Round competition on October 26 losing to Phard Napoli 68-59. Braxton scored 12 points on five of 13 shooting from the field, grabbed three rebounds and picked up an assist and a steal. The Phoenix Mercury's Anna DeForge led TS Wis"a Can-Pack Kraków in scoring with 24 points on the night.
Phard Napoli was led by two WNBA veterans - Mery Andrade and Vickey Bullett. Andrade scored 17 points on eight of 12 shooting from the floor and grabbed seven rebounds while Bullett added 13 points on six of 12 shooting and grabbed four boards.
Euroleague Women competition continues for Wis"a Can-Pack on November 2 against K Cero ICP.

Braxton scored a game-high 18 points on six of 10 shooting from the floor while grabbing nine rebounds. DeForge chipped in with 13 points and four assists on the evening.
Polish league play continues for Braxton and company on November 12 when they face PZU Polfa Pabianice.
