Detroit Shock advance to WNBA finals for fourth time

Auburn Hills, MI - The Detroit Shock advanced to the WNBA finals for the fourth time in the team's 11-year history Monday evening with an 75-73 win over the New York Liberty in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Shock will start the best of five series on the road with game 1 on Wednesday and game 2 on Friday in San Antonio. They will return home to Eastern Michigan University's Convocation Center on Sunday, October 5, then back to the Palace of Auburn Hills for game 4 if necessary on Monday, October 6.

For game 3, Eastern Michigan University students, faculty and staff will be eligible for a limited amount of free general admission tickets by showing a valid I.D. at the Convocation Center box office.

Detroit Shock tickets for the WNBA Finals can be purchased at The Palace Box Office, online at www.detroitshock.com , by calling 248-377-0100 or at any TicketMaster outlet. In addition tickets will be available at Eastern Michigan University's Convocation Center box office. EMU box office hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and 90 minutes prior to tip off on game days. Shock tickets can also be purchased over the phone through EMU by calling (734) 487-2282 Monday through Friday 10a.m. - 9 p.m.
