Detroit City FC, USL Announce 2022 National Broadcasts

DETROIT, Michigan - Detroit City Football Club and the USL Championship have announced their national broadcast schedule and kick-off times for the 2022 campaign. DCFC will have two matches featured nationally, reaching millions of homes via the ESPN platforms.

"The Club has already begun to see the dividends of moving forward into the USL Championship," said co-owner Alex Wright. "It says a lot about the job Trevor James has done to build our first team, as well the unmatched atmosphere our supporters have created at Keyworth Stadium. In our first season in the USL Championship, we are one of two clubs with multiple home matches airing linear on ESPN platforms. We are thrilled by this opportunity to introduce DCFC to a global audience."

Detroit City FC will host Birmingham Legion FC at Keyworth on April 15 at 7 pm ET on ESPN Deportes. The match was initially announced for April 16.

The June 18 fixture on ESPN 2 will kick off at noon EST as Le Rouge hosts El Paso Locomotive FC.

Detroit City's home opener on March 19 will be at 4 pm ET. Le Rouge's home matches through the April 2 fixture will kick at 4 pm ET. Home matches in May through September will kick off at 7:30 pm ET except for the June 18 match on ESPN 2, with the season finale against Miami FC on October 15 starting at 4 pm ET. The 2022 USL Championship season will feature 19 nationally broadcast matches.

"As the USL grows, our fantastic partners at ESPN continue to increase our national visibility every year and deliver first-class, one-stop access via their linear and streaming platforms," said USL Executive Vice President Court Jeske. "Every nationally-televised game gives U.S. sports fans a taste of what makes the USL a great brand of soccer. Through ESPN's platforms, more American soccer fans are discovering the high level of play and festive atmosphere that USL clubs and their fans bring week after week."

Combined with nearly 700 Championship and League One games on ESPN+, USL fans can watch the entire regular season, playoffs, and finals for both leagues on ESPN platforms.

Le Rouge begins the 2022 campaign on March 12 at San Antonio FC. DCFC welcomes the Charleston Battery on March 19 for the club's home opener at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck.

Season tickets are on sale and start at $150 - season tickets include both men's and women's home matches. Certain sections have already sold out due to increased interest and limited space at Keyworth Stadium. Single-game tickets will be made available at a later date.
