BOUCHERVILLE - Today was a good day for Chicoutimi Saguenéens forward Nicolas Deschamps. After the Saguenéens defeated the Remparts 8-3 at Colisée Pepsi in front of over 14,000 fans, he received the news that he would replace Everett Silvertip winger Kyle Beach at the Home Hardware Top Prospects game, which will be held in Edmonton next Wednesday.
Deschamps, a Delson native, has scored seventeen goals and added twenty-six helpers in forty-eight games so far this season. In its mid-season rankings, NHL Central Scouting rates him as a probable first round draft pick at the Entry Draft in Ottawa next summer.
