Dennis Truax named CBA Deputy Commissioner

Albany, NY (November 26, 2007) - The Continental Basketball Association today announced that current Vice President of Basketball Operations Dennis Truax has been promoted to Deputy Commissioner for the 2007-08 season. Truax had previously served as the CBA Director of Operations for two seasons and was most recently promoted to the position of Vice President of Basketball Operations in May.
Prior to his time in the CBA League Office, Truax briefly served as Director of Media Relations and assistant coach of the Rockford Lightning in 2005. During the 2004-05 CBA season, Truax was the Director of Media Relations and Assistant Director of Basketball Operations for the Gary Steelheads. From 1999-2004, Truax worked for the United States Basketball League in many capacities including consultant, intern, and Director of Media Relations.
"I would like to thank the CBA Board of Directors for my continued rise through the organization," said Truax. "Their confidence in me is important as we prepare for our upcoming season. I look forward to serving at the behest of the Board of Directors to make this season one of the best ever in CBA history."
