DeLamielleure, Mach Take Home Week Seven NECBL Awards

SOUTH HADLEY, MA - Blake DeLamielleure (Keene, OF, Jacksonville University), and Alex Mach (Danbury, RHP, UConn Avery Point) have won the Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for week seven of the 2023 New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) regular season.
DeLamielleure had a monster week for the SwampBats, playing in four games throughout the last seven days, hitting .533 in that span. He started the week with a two RBI game at Sanford on July 18, and kept it going with another two-hit, two RBI performance versus Danbury on July 19. He finished the week even better than he started, starting with a July 21 three-hit game against Newport. He followed that up with his best game of the week, a 3-4, two RBI, two run master class in a 16-10 offensive explosion against Upper Valley on July 22.
DeLamielleure had a great season at Jacksonville in 2023, batting .302 in 56 games, hitting six home runs and driving in 33 runs while drawing 32 walks and slugging .519 on the year.
Mach pitched two games (one start) for the Westerners this week, throwing 7.1 innings of shutout ball, only allowing two hits and striking out seven hitters. His first action of the week came on July 18 against Mystic in relief, pitching 1.1 innings of no-hit shutout ball. He continued his shutout ball July 21 against Ocean State, where he pitched six innings, allowing just two hits in a shutout win for the Westerners, striking out six along the way.
Mach has had a great career at UConn Avery Point, pitching to a 3.78 ERA during the 2022 season, going 5-1 in his first season at Avery Point.
