Milwaukee, WI-On the first day of free agency, the Columbus Blue Jackets signed former Admiral goaltender Mark Dekanich to a one-way contract. The signing ends a record setting three years for the Colgate University alum in Milwaukee.

Dekanich is the team's all-time leader in both goals against average (2.16) and save percentage (.922) to go along with a 65-38-11 record and nine shutouts, which is fourth in franchise history. He ends his career fifth all-time in wins and sixth in games played (122).

He compiled a 23-12-5 record with five shutouts and was selected to play in the 2010 AHL All-Star Classic.

In addition to Dekanich, the Blue Jackets also signed defenseman Aaron Johnson, who notched 35 points (9g-26a) in 72 games for Milwaukee last season.
